Biography

Kelly grew up in a historic Chicago home exquisitely decorated with beautiful European antiques and important Post-War, Modern & Contemporary art.

Kelly graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Art History from Barnard College, Columbia University. She then completed Columbia University’s New York/Paris: The Shape of Two Cities program through the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. She developed her technical skills at Pratt Institute’s number one ranked interior design program, where she received an M.S. in Interior Design. While in school she completed internships at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, The Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago, Sotheby’s New York and Holly Hunt Ltd. Kelly also fully participated in the selection of décor and art for family vacation homes in Palm Beach, Beaver Creek and New York City.

Kelly worked with esteemed interior designer Eric Cohler, whose firm is known for mixing both classical and contemporary styles in sophisticated luxury residences. During her four years at Eric Cohler Design, she had the opportunity to work on over 30 diverse projects from coast-to-coast with budgets ranging from $1 to 5 million. She served as a Senior Project Manager on both new construction projects and on major renovations of historic residences. Kelly also advised clients on building world-class art collections as a final stage of many design projects.

Kelly’s innate aesthetic sensibility, entrepreneurial spirit and exceptional educational and professional background culminated in the opening of her namesake interior design firm in early 2015. Her passion for design attracts clients from across the country, who are drawn to her ability to translate their wants and needs into curated residences that exude personality and possess unparalleled style. Clients routinely find her fun to work with, remarking that her quick wit and refined manners are refreshingly complimented by her chic personal style.
